FORMATTING A DISK WITH RIGHT PROTECTION

Many people fail to format the disks that are right-protected. There is a very small trick that can help you to do so.
Follow the steps below
  1. For some of memory there is a small button that is to be adjusted to either forward or backward so as to lock or unlock the right-protection. After that try to format it, if there are still some problems, try the second alternative.

  2. This is done in the command prompt. Do the following:
  3. Start > Run "cmd"
  4. type--> diskpart
  5. type--> list volume
  6. type--> select volume #(number)
  7. type--> attributes disk clear readonly

  8. Go to your start menu
  9. Search DISKPART.
    When the command box appeared go on writting the following and click ENTER after each complete statement listed below
  10. LIST DISK
  11. SELECT DISK #(USB Stick number)
  12. CLEAN ALL
  13. CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
  14. SELECT PARTITION 1
  15. ACTIVE
  16. FORMAT FS=FAT32
  17. ASSIGN
  18. EXIT
  19. EXIT
